Dan Erling is the President and CEO of Accountants One, Inc., a full service Accounting and Finance recruiting firm that has been serving our community since 1973. Accountants One has offices in Raleigh and Charlotte, North Carolina, with headquarters in Atlanta.
Dan is in the Georgia Association of Personnel Services (GAPS) Million Dollar Hall of Fame and is recognized as one of Atlanta’s Up and Comers by the Atlanta Business Chronicle. Under Dan’s leadership, Accountants One was named one of Atlanta’s Best Places to Work.
In 2010, Dan’s book, MATCH: A Systematic, Sane Process for Hiring the Right Person Every Time was published by Wiley. This best practices approach to hiring has quickly become a resource for anyone looking to make a successful hire. Dan spends a lot of his time consulting with companies that are fanatical about hiring, and recently several organizations and Universities have adopted his book as a teaching resource.
Dan is the creator of the Search for the South’s Funniest Accountant. This combination fund raiser / stereotype debunker has become an annual favorite in the accounting community. In 2015, over 800 people attended the sold-out event, raising over $50,000 for Junior Achievement of Georgia.
Dan attributes his success to his dad (Bert) who taught him that the key to business success is PEOPLE. While Dan lost his dad (and business partner) in 2010, Bert would be proud to know that Accountants One continues to carry on his legacy of building long-term relationships. Through this approach, Accountants One has become one of the South’s largest non-franchised firms.
